The story of cause and effect. We learn it in third grade, and it builds and builds and builds on itself. Sally took a picture, and the picture ended up in the newspaper. It's more than just that, however. Maybe in India, one year a drought strikes and crops fail. That year, poverty strikes with lack of food and farmers struggle to pay their taxes. Cause and effect. That is the way that our ecosystem works, and it is also the way that we affect the world around us. One of my favorite things to do is pick one event, big or small, and throughly analyze it. Doing this is a eyeopener that one event can really change the outcome of many other events.
Think about this: Did we cause the recent mind-blowing earthquakes?
Think about this: Was the recent economic downturn a result of us abusing the environment?
