How much do pesticides harm our earth? A lot. Most people use or injest more pesticides than they think. Pesticides are usually defined as any thing that people use to treat plants for bugs. Say you put some pesticides on your lawn to kill the locust invasion. The it rains, and the pesticides run off your yard into the gutter then into the river. People fish, swim, and eat animals that drink that water. How does this really affect our bodies?
